The Human Resources Management Service, working in partnership with programme managers, ensures the attraction, development and retention of a competent, diverse, adaptable and healthy workforce with the highest standards of efficiency, competence and integrity, giving due regard to geographical representation, inclusivity and gender balance.
The services provided include:
- Formulating human resources management policies and providing policy advice
- Recruiting, placing and promoting UNOV and UNODC staff and select categories of affiliate personnel; as well as management of the organizational mobility scheme
- Administering contracts, benefits and entitlements for all UNOV and UNODC staff
- Promoting a culture of continuous learning, high performance, and a positive and harmonious workplace
- Coordinating and delivering learning initiatives for personnel on topics including leadership and management, career development, and language skills
- Overseeing conduct and discipline matters to ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards
- Supporting informal mechanisms for ensuring the resolution of grievances at an early stage
