Information Technology Service (ITS)

The Information Technology Service (ITS) provides secure, innovative ICT solutions to support the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to help achieve their operational and mandated goals. ITS consists of the following:

The Digital Transformation Section promotes ICT innovation, supporting AI initiatives, automation, website management, digital learning systems, and Umoja coordination, all aligned with cybersecurity and compliance goals.

The Services for Member States Section develops and maintains specialized ICT solutions addressing UNODC mandates related to law enforcement, drug control, anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism.

The Service Delivery Unit manages personal devices, communication tools, video conferencing, Microsoft 365 services, IT support, and procurement to ensure smooth IT operations and security.

The Governance, Risk Management and Compliance Unit oversees ICT security governance, risk assessment, and compliance with UN policies, coordinating closely with the Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) and enterprise risk management frameworks.

The Shared Portfolio Services Unit handles essential administrative functions such as personnel management, budget monitoring, contract administration, and supply chain planning.
